Darrell Dunham was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Although he still considers himself to be a native Alaskan, after he started going to college in the "lower 48" when he was 18 years old, he never went back to Alaska except to visit. Darrell became a Christian in 1977 after he had graduated from law school and obtained an advanced degree in law from Harvard University Law School. He has remained steadfast in his faith since 1977.
