Back to school is just around the corner. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, children all over the world face a different reality when it comes to returning to school.

Whether it's heading back to a classroom, taking virtual classes at home, or a mix of educational approaches, adapting to these changes can come with a variety of emotions and anxieties.

Dr. Katie Birnie is an assistant scientific director with Solutions for Kids in Pain and a psychologist at Alberta Children’s Hospital,
