Ryan Brook needs our help to eliminate the wild pig problem. All types of pigs, including wild boars, have interbred and are causing devastation to our ecology. Sport hunting, partial trapping and other forms of harassment are ineffective, as the pigs learn from our behaviours and go further underground. They use the provincial parks to their advantage in the same way other wildlife have learned to do. Current collar mapping has shown that wild pigs are spreading far and wide across the province. Wild pigs have been and are a major problem across North America,
except in Colorado, where they have been trapped and hunted successfully.
